Does the calculator show a freight price?

No. No dollar amount, freight rate or cost-per-mile figure is shown. Pricing is released only in a written quote after a coordinator verifies the lane, equipment, facility conditions and accessorials.

What is the cost-pressure score?

It is a 0-100 read-out of how many cost drivers your shipment carries: urgency, temperature control, hazmat, port or rail involvement, difficult facilities, non-stackable freight, low density and accessorial count. Higher scores mean fewer qualified carriers and more billable services.

How is density calculated?

Cubic feet equals length x width x height per handling unit, multiplied by the number of units, divided by 1,728. Density equals total weight divided by cubic feet, reported in pounds per cubic foot.

Why does quote readiness matter?

Incomplete shipment data is the main reason quotes get re-rated. The readiness percentage shows which required details are still missing so your request can be priced once rather than revised after pickup.

Can the calculator pick my freight mode?

It recommends a service path such as LTL, PTL, FTL, expedited, refrigerated, flatbed or port drayage plus inland freight based on units, weight, cube, temperature, urgency and terminal involvement. A coordinator confirms the final mode.
